So my phone has started randomly dying, but the good news is that my contract JUST came up. I am free to move about the cell phone providers, in addition to getting a new phone.

1. I have Verizon. What I don't like is that they do not have a plan that fits my usage - their plans jump from 450 minutes to 900, with no plan in-between. Whenever I have the 450 plan, I go over, and when I switch to the 900, I am inevitably under. Naturally, Verizon does not have a roll-over minutes plan, otherwise the 450 would be fine. It makes me crazy. I've heard Verizon had the best coverage, but I hate their plans. Haaaate! So. If anyone else has a provider that they like and is cost-effective, then please let me know.

2. In terms of phones, what I really want is a phone that is also a personal organizer (I need serious help in this area.) I was leaning towards a Blackberry because you can get Word and Excel on it, but then I realized that would probably lock me into a service plan that costs ridiculous amounts of money per month (indeed, their lowest plan, which I would probably run overage charges on, costs $79. Add another $15 for taxes and you get EEEP.) I'm therefore thinking about investing in an i-Touch. The city has enough wireless internet hot spots that I'll be able to hook in (almost) anywhere I go (though not, ironically enough, at my job.) A friend of mine went with this and loves it. My laptop is a PC, though - will they have trouble talking to each other? Any iTouch love out there?

Any help most appreciated. Much thanks.
